I once met Sir Elton John, my favourite singer, in a small album shop in Hong Kong.
He was dressed very casually, wearing sunglasses and a hat — trying to stay low-key. It wasn’t easy to recognise him at first, but somehow I just knew it was him.
When I approached him, he seemed genuinely surprised that I had recognised him. To confirm, he smiled, took off his sunglasses, and revealed himself — it really was Elton John.
I asked if he could wait for me while I quickly bought a CD for his signature. Without hesitation, he patiently waited. No rush, no attitude — just kindness.
That moment stayed with me forever. It reminded me that behind every famous name is a real person — and sometimes, a simple encounter becomes a lifelong memory.
